1:1-3:15

誦讀 提多書 第1-3章 (感謝好牧人網站提供和合本聖經誦讀)
問候
1:1 [NASB] Paul, a bond-servant of God and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness,
1:2 [NASB] in the hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised long ages ago,
1:3 [NASB] but at the proper time manifested, {even} His word, in the proclamation with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior,
1:4 [NASB] To Titus, my true child in a common faith: Grace and peace from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Savior.
提多革哩底的工作
1:5 [NASB] For this reason I left you in Crete, that you would set in order what remains and appoint elders in every city as I directed you,
1:6 [NASB] {namely,} if any man is above reproach, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, not accused of dissipation or rebellion.
1:7 [NASB] For the overseer must be above reproach as God's steward, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not pugnacious, not fond of sordid gain,
1:8 [NASB] but hospitable, loving what is good, sensible, just, devout, self-controlled,
1:9 [NASB] holding fast the faithful word which is in accordance with the teaching, so that he will be able both to exhort in sound doctrine and to refute those who contradict.
1:10 [NASB] For there are many rebellious men, empty talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision,
1:11 [NASB] who must be silenced because they are upsetting whole families, teaching things they should not {teach} for the sake of sordid gain.
1:12 [NASB] One of themselves, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons."
1:13 [NASB] This testimony is true. For this reason reprove them severely so that they may be sound in the faith,
1:14 [NASB] not paying attention to Jewish myths and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.
1:15 [NASB] To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure, but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.
1:16 [NASB] They profess to know God, but by {their} deeds they deny {Him,} being detestable and disobedient and worthless for any good deed.
要傳講純正的真理
2:1 [NASB] But as for you, speak the things which are fitting for sound doctrine.
2:2 [NASB] Older men are to be temperate, dignified, sensible, sound in faith, in love, in perseverance.
2:3 [NASB] Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good,
2:4 [NASB] so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,
2:5 [NASB] {to be} sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored.
2:6 [NASB] Likewise urge the young men to be sensible;
2:7 [NASB] in all things show yourself to be an example of good deeds, {with} purity in doctrine, dignified,
2:8 [NASB] sound {in} speech which is beyond reproach, so that the opponent will be put to shame, having nothing bad to say about us.
2:9 [NASB] {Urge} bondslaves to be subject to their own masters in everything, to be well-pleasing, not argumentative,
2:10 [NASB] not pilfering, but showing all good faith so that they will adorn the doctrine of God our Savior in every respect.
2:11 [NASB] For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men,
2:12 [NASB] instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age,
2:13 [NASB] looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus,
2:14 [NASB] who gave Himself for us to redeem us from every lawless deed, and to purify for Himself a people for His own possession, zealous for good deeds.
2:15 [NASB] These things speak and exhort and reprove with all authority. Let no one disregard you.

3:1 [NASB] Remind them to be subject to rulers, to authorities, to be obedient, to be ready for every good deed,
3:2 [NASB] to malign no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing every consideration for all men.
3:3 [NASB] For we also once were foolish ourselves, disobedient, deceived, enslaved to various lusts and pleasures, spending our life in malice and envy, hateful, hating one another.
3:4 [NASB] But when the kindness of God our Savior and {His} love for mankind appeared,
3:5 [NASB] He saved us, not on the basis of deeds which we have done in righteousness, but according to His mercy, by the washing of regeneration and renewing by the Holy Spirit,
3:6 [NASB] whom He poured out upon us richly through Jesus Christ our Savior,
3:7 [NASB] so that being justified by His grace we would be made heirs according to {the} hope of eternal life.
3:8 [NASB] This is a trustworthy statement; and concerning these things I want you to speak confidently, so that those who have believed God will be careful to engage in good deeds. These things are good and profitable for men.
3:9 [NASB] But avoid foolish controversies and genealogies and strife and disputes about the Law, for they are unprofitable and worthless.
3:10 [NASB] Reject a factious man after a first and second warning,
3:11 [NASB] knowing that such a man is perverted and is sinning, being self-condemned.
個人的指示和問安
3:12 [NASB] When I send Artemas or Tychicus to you, make every effort to come to me at Nicopolis, for I have decided to spend the winter there.
3:13 [NASB] Diligently help Zenas the lawyer and Apollos on their way so that nothing is lacking for them.
3:14 [NASB] Our people must also learn to engage in good deeds to meet pressing needs, so that they will not be unfruitful.
3:15 [NASB] All who are with me greet you. Greet those who love us in {the} faith. Grace be with you all.
