Warren: Song Can Turn Lives Around
1/5/2006

The New Directions Choir is a big successful group. Even though they are successful now, they used to not be that good. They used to be homeless or drug addicts. Now they’ve done something about it and turned their lives around.

The choir has 10 people, all who were war veterans. Many of these people fell to desperate measures to survive. But now they have taken control and made their lives better. The choir recently went to a place where when introduced not many people paid attention to them. But as the choir began to sin even if it was only with 2 microphones instead of 4 like the group had planned, the crowd were taken in by the singing group. The deep voice of Carleton Griffin especially moved the crowd. The voice came from shouting commands to soldiers next to loud guns. The audience listened and enjoyed.

“It’s a good group of individuals,’ Griffin said, “and they’ve helped me stay focused on the things I needed to stay focused on.” The group thoroughly enjoys what they’re doing.
