Kaplan Workshops get a lot of students. When the SAT announced the new writing section where students have to write an essay, they got even more. The new writing section is stressing kids out.

“I joke that they’re trying to create a new show called SAT survivor,” said David Benjamin Gruenbaum, owner of a test preparation company. Lots of students are going to workshops to improve their writing. Some hope their writing will help their entire grade. If the students are scared the instructors relieve them by saying it only counts for 1/9 their grade.

The writing section for the SAT is scaring most, but lots feel better now that they’re prepared. As they say, every little bit helps.
