New Line Cinema in the Race

New Line Cinema has begun to make movies that will appeal to the Christian audience. With their new movie “The Nativity Story” due out on Christmas, New Line wants to get Christian’s to watch their movies.

New line also made the movie “One Night with the King” about Ruth. “The producer and companies that catch this will ride a wave. These are not one-time moviegoers,” said Billy Joe Daugherty, pastor of Victory Christian Center, a Tulsa Okla., congregation of 14,000. “The Nativity Story”, costing $65 million to make, is one of the biggest and most expensive biblical movie from a large movie studio. The studio got a big boost when Vatican City agreed to show the movie.

New Line still has to get the word out though, because not many people have heard of the movie just yet. But, the book is a bestseller on Amazon.
