The two directors looked at each other and smiled. One of them explained, “There are two set of logs in the water. Because it rained so much for the past two days, the logs are covered by water. We both know the position of the logs. Therefore, we could walk across. How come you didn’t ask us?”
A degree represents the past. A continued learning process represents the future.

When you respect those with experience, you won’t walk strayed.

A good team is a team that does not stop the learning process.
Barnabas School is going into the third quarter. We are grateful for the forty some students who took the class. Our hope is that our team is a team that continues to learn and to be better.

Let’s encourage one another as we rise up to serve our Lord the best we can.

Yours truly,

Samuel Liu

Community Caring Ministry

Community Caring Ministry is one of the three big ministries in FECA. In Agape Caring Center, Community Caring Ministry also plays an important role. One statement from FECA says, “ Community Caring is a ministry that is very important in the churches of Jesus Christ. The goal is to reach out to this broken world with the gospel. The two points include community service and taking actions.”

We continue to promote distribution of lunch in downtown LA on the third Sundays. Several sisters also do a community walk to knock on the doors in our community to tell them about the gospel.

In the next six months, Community Caring Ministry will continue to sponsor more workshops. On the night of Sept. 16, we will have a Moon Festival night event. On
Christmas, there will be events such as distribution of gifts at foster homes and convelecent hospitals and caroling. We hope you will join us.

Joseph Jao is the person in charge of Community Caring Ministry in Agape Caring Center. He works together alongside Bob Shih with five other department heads to overseeing all the events. The five department heads are:
1. Chin-Hwa Wang: Chin-Hwa’s job is to go to all the FECA community caring meetings to bring back information and to help to finish assigned work.
2. Joseph Jao: Joseph is in charge of overseeing all the community caring events.
3. Faith Kwan: Faith is in charge of coordinating special events.
4. Stanley Shi: Stanley is in charge of getting all the soft ware and hard ware ready for special events.
5. David Lee: David’s job is to go to the meetings in the community and to distribute loving fund to the needy.

We also want to thank many other volunteers who helped out in the past six months. Our prayer is that God can continue to use the Community Caring Ministry so that we can become a true blessing in our local community.
