Qingdao released high-tech industry action plan

The High-Tech Industry One-Policy-For-One-Industry Action Plan of Qingdao Municipality (2017-2021) was released jointly by Qingdao Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, Municipal Economy and Information Technology Bureau, Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau, Municipal Food and Drug Administration, Municipal Big Data Bureau and other relevant departments recently to clearly show the action plan in next 5 years for 25 high-tech industries specially supported by One-Policy-for-One-Industry policy. According to the plan, by 2021, 25 high-tech industries, including computer, telecommunication and other electronics manufacturing industries, new energy auto manufacturing, medicine production, visual reality and augmented reality, artificial intelligence, are expected to achieve about CNY 440 billion total revenue.

The action plan aims to decide the direction and path for high-tech industry development in the future 5 years based on a thorough investigation about high-tech industries in the whole city under the Dual 10 billion & 100 billion plan of Qingdao. According to the action plan, by 2021, the revenue of main businesses of 25 industries will be CNY 440 billion; the annual growth rate will be 20%. Qingdao will have 7 new industries with over CNY 10 billion revenue; the total number will be 11. The number of industries with CNY 100 billion main business revenue, for example, computer, telecommunication and other electronics equipment manufacturing industries, will remain the same; the total revenue will reach CNY 160 billion. The number of industries withmain business revenue of CNY 100 billion will reach 10, with 7 new included. Among them the new energy auto manufacturing industry will achieve a CNY 60 billion revenue, big data and cloud computing industries will achieve a CNY 50 billion revenue, medicine production will achieve CNY 40 billion revenue, basic electronics parts and equipment production will achieve CNY 20 billion revenue, instrumentation production industry will achieve CNY 16 billion revenue, VR and AR industries will achieve CNY 15 billion revenue, AI industry will achieve CNY 15 billion revenue, high-efficient energy-saving industry will achieve CNY 11.59 billion revenue, software industry will achieve CNY 10.1 billion revenue, and integrated circuit manufacturing and design will achieve CNY 10 billion revenue.
