110 billion Yuan of Qingdao finance has
been spent on people’s livelihood
In 2017, the general public budget income
of Qingdao achieved steady growth, reaching 115.71 billion Yuan, increasing by
7.1%.
Last year 110 billion Yuan was spent on the
people’s livelihood in Qingdao, increasing by 13% and accounting for over 70%
of the total financial expenditure. In terms of category, 25.1 billion Yuan was
spent on education, 15.7 billion Yuan on social security and employment, 11.3
billion on the issues of agriculture, farmers and rural areas and 9.5 billion
on medical care. The municipal finance has spent a total of 10 billion Yuan to
provide sufficient fund to guarantee 33 practical deeds in 10 aspects at the
municipal level.
The financial expenditure on people’s
livelihood focuses on the poverty-stricken population. 24 people’s livelihood
assurance standards have been expanded and elevated including basic living
allowance in urban and rural areas, old-age pension for enterprise retirees.
19.5 billion Yuan has been raised to transform over 50,000 households in
shantytowns and dilapidated buildings in rural areas and complete
indemnificatory housing for 7,052 households. It has bought comprehensive
insurance on livelihood for all urban households and ensures accident or
disaster-stricken families can live normally. It has launched fiscal policies
on supporting the citizenship of rural migrants and let new citizens feel that
