Taiwan Businessmen: Chengdu, Ideal Place for Investment

On February 2, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Chengdu Municipal Government and Chengdu Taiwan Business Association co-convened a reception to celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year in Chengdu.
In August 2017, the Taiwan Electrical and Electronic Manufacturers' Association released a report on the investment environment in 112 cities in the Chinese mainland. Chengdu ranked second in terms of urban comprehensive strength, and was titled as a highly recommended city for investment by Taiwanese business people. It is the only city in central and western China to win the honor for 15 consecutive years.
In 2017, the city saw 69 newly-registered Taiwan-funded companies. By far, Taiwan-funded companies in the city has hit 1,144, with a gross investment of over US$11.86 billion.
