Wang Shujiang, an NPC deputy and president of the Sichuan Higher People's Court, proposes setting up an internet court in Chengdu on March 10.

The internet cases in Chengdu, capital of southwest China¡¦s Sichuan province, keep improving with each passing year, according to Wang.

In 2017, the number of internet e-commerce cases and internet insurance contract cases in the city surged to 11,236 and 11,086 respectively.

When commenting on court achievements in China over the past five years, Wang said the suggestions issued by the Supreme People¡¦s Court are ¡§comprehensive and timely in facilitating major strategies for national economic and social development¡¨.

Wang made the remarks with reference to judicial policy and guidance documents covering various issues including the Belt and Road Initiative, coordinated development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and the Yangtze River Economic Zone.

Facing the new normal in economic development, the SPC released suggestions on improving financial trials and judicial interpretations on private lending in a timely manner, he said.
