Qingdao municipality released All-for-One Tourism Plan Outline (2018-2021) on 29th May.
The Qingdao tourism will highlight 5 development directions, including coastal holiday tourism, sea recreational tourism, quality village tourism, fusion creative tourism, and export service tourism, and form new type development space called as One Belt One Axle, Three Bay Three Hill, Development in Group, as well as brand new tourism industry layout, which integrates both Urban and Rural Area, both Marine and Land; Supported by Projects and Supplemented by Elements; Concentrated & Gathered and Developed in Group. Then a resource-saving and environmental-friendly tourism space layout, industry structure, lifestyle, and work style can be established as a whole.
The plan says by 2021, the targeted number of received tourists both from home and abroad is expected to reach 120 million person-times, with CNY264 billion tourism revenues, added value of tourism industry account for 8% or above of GDP, comprehensive tax contribution of tourism industry account for 8% or above of GDP. Qingdao will be further built into a key coastal hub city can be deeply approached, a coastal holiday tourism city can be tripped like a poem, an international port city can be perfectly experienced, a national famous historic city can be touched with love.
