According to the statistical communiqués of China’s 15 deputy provincial cities on their economic and social development in 2018, Chengdu, with an actually utilized foreign investment of US$12.03 billion last year, ranked No.1 among all of its counterparts in the country.

Chengdu has been maintaining steady growth of actually utilized foreign investment from 2010. Together with Beijing (US$17.31 billion), Shanghai (US$17.30 billion), Chongqing (US$10.27 billion) and Wuhan (US$10.93 billion), it is one of the only 5 domestic cities that utilized more than US$10 billion foreign investment in 2018.
