Photos taken recently by Yunnan Daily reporters show the charm and beauty of lotuses in Daguan Park of Kunming City, SW China’s Yunnan Province. The lotus flowers normally bloom in ponds and lakes of Yunnan in June. This year, The 15th Daguan Lotus Festival is held from June 21 to August 31. During the festival, 2,000 pots of lotus flowers and other aquatic plants over 200 mu (approximately 33 acres) will be displayed. With the biggest exhibition area, most species and longest exhibition period, this year’s festival marks the largest of its kind in Kunming.
