From January to June, 237 first stores of home and foreign brands opened in Chengdu.

According to the latest statistics co-released July 9 by the Chengdu Retail Business Association and DataQuest China, from January to June, 237 first stores of home and foreign brands opened in Chengdu, surpassing the total number in 2018.

The stores include 2 as the first in the world, 27 in China, 14 in the county's western region, 37 in southwest China, and 157 in Chengdu.

As an international city of gastronomy and one of China's first-tier cities of fashion, Chengdu proves its appeal through the number of the top brands' first stores. 110 out of the 237 are restaurants, mostly specializing in hotpot and Sichuan cuisines.
