The 2019 New Growth Drivers Qingdao Fair is set to run from Oct 19 to 21 in the eastern coastal city of Qingdao, Shandong province, according to a recent news conference held by the information office of Shandong provincial people's government.

Themed around "Innovation stimulates growth drivers, cooperation promotes development," the fair will be jointly hosted by various provincial and municipal level government departments.

It is designed to display achievements, major projects, as well as cooperation needs of new and old growth drivers conversion in Shandong. It will also showcase new technologies, new products, and development plans to promote cooperation, as well as science and technology achievement transformation.

A series of forums, project roadshows, negotiations, and promotion activities are scheduled for the fair.

The exhibition section includes one theme exhibition area, five industrial exhibition areas, and four special exhibition areas.

The theme exhibition area will mainly display and promote the staged achievements of the new and old growth drivers conversion in Shandong, as well as the development planning and major projects of key industries. It will also display key projects, high-tech zones, urban characteristics, and leading enterprises in 16 cities of Shandong.

The industrial exhibition areas include a smart manufacturing exhibition area, a smart life tech exhibition area, a new energy and new materials exhibition area, a marine industry exhibition area, as well as a comprehensive exhibition area composed of other emerging industries.

The special exhibition areas features a scientific and technological achievements exhibition trading area, a financial investment institution exhibition area, a "Friendly Shandong" exhibition area, as well as a Shandong modern high-efficiency agriculture exhibition area.

The fair will be held in conjunction with the Qingdao Summit of Multinational Corporations Leaders, a national-level economic and trade event jointly organized by the Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong provincial government.
