An activity themed 尞ighting up Dianchi Lake� was held recently in Haigeng Park, a tour destination beside the Dianchi Lake in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province. Cultural and creative products, art performances, starry cinema and BBQ party drew numerous citizens to the event, injecting vitality to nighttime economy around the Dianchi Lake.

The event marked the start of the �24-hour mode� of the park. 㜁e hope to promote the sustainable development of nighttime economy of the park, by organizing more refreshed, exciting and enjoyable activities for visitors,� said Lu Wei, the deputy general manager of the park.

Night-time economy is one of the modern urban economic forms catering to high-level consumption demand, and it is expected to become a growth pole of the urban economy. At present, Kunming is working to create more nighttime attractions, and has released measures to boost nighttime consumption.
