Shandong provincial government released the list of key provincial projects in 2020 recently. Qingdao has 22 projects included in the list, of which the University of Rehabilitation and the national AI and eco-environment protection intelligent monitoring instrument project are located in Qingdao High-tech Zone.

The University of Rehabilitation is a key national project on the list of the thirteenth five-year plan and an important part of the "Healthy China" strategy, shouldering the mission of promoting the development of the cause of the disabled in China. With a planning area of 1,050 mu, it ranges from Fenghe Road and Wuzhi Road in the north to Jing'er Road in the south, from Jingsan Road in the west to Anhe Road in the east.

At present, the project has obtained the administrative licensing and Qingdao High-tech Zone is making great efforts to promote the construction of the project focusing on the optimization of the planning scheme. The earthwork is predicted to start from March.

The national AI and eco-environment protection intelligent monitoring instrument project is constructed by Qingdao Laoying Haina Group. The project consists of nine single functional buildings including an AI base, a pilot test base, a underground garage, an air-raid shelter, and a transformer substation as well as other public supporting facilities such as roads and squares. The leading industries of the project are big data, Internet+ intelligent environmental protection, spectrum technology, strategic emerging industries and high-tech industries. The project is under construction and is predicted to be put into operation by the end of 2021.

Qingdao High-tech Zone will go all out to speed up the implementation of the key projects.
