2/21/2020

Citizens in Jinan and Qingdao are required to register their identity information by scanning the QR code when taking bus or taxi to better protect the health of citizens in the battle against the epidemic.

From Feb. 19, bus passengers in Jinan must register their information through scanning the QR code of Jinan Bus Passenger Information Registration system to ensure their information searchable and traceable. The information of the running buses are incorporated into the registration system and each vehicle has a QR code. Every time taking a bus, the citizen should use Alipay or Wechat to scan the corresponding QR code to input the valid contact information. The QR code records only the passenger's mobile phone number and the riding time.

From Feb. 18, the public transport and taxi industries started the real-name registration of passengers through Qingdao Traffic Travel Sharing Information system. Each taxi and bus has a QR code, and each station and carriage of the subway has QR code, which enables passengers to scan the QR code and register their real names, so that related information of passengers can be searched and traced.
