Pear flowers bloom in vernal breeze

As the spring comes back, the Houhai Village in northeast Yunnan’s Zhaotong City has become a white sea of pear flowers, reminding people of the lines in the ancient Chinese poem written by Cen Shen in the Tang Dynasty (618-907): As if the vernal breeze had come back overnight. Adorning thousands of pear trees with blossoms white.

Houhai Village is home to more than 2,000 pear trees, some of which are more than 300 years old. In every flower season, Houhai greets lots of tourists from surrounding cities.
