To give full play to the role of labor union organizations and coordinate epidemic prevention and economic development, the Federation of Trade Unions of Qingdao High-tech Zone took comprehensive measures to guarantee the rights and interests of employees, spared no efforts to support enterprises to resume work and production in a safe and orderly way as well as stabilize labor relations, united and mobilized employees in the zone to make contributions to the fight against COVID-19 and social and economic development.

During the epidemic, the federation of trade unions conducted supervision and investigation in more than 80 enterprises, covering over 7,000 workers, urged and assisted companies to provide necessary protection conditions for their employees while shouldering their responsibility in epidemic prevention and control. It also helped enterprises to coordinate and solve problems including the purchase of prevention and control materials.

Based on entrepreneurship columns launched on various platforms, the federation of trade unions released preferential policies for corporate development, publicity of the rights and interests of female workers, and lectures on law popularization. It coordinated and guided enterprises to carry out remote precise point-to-point service to help employees return to work.

24-hour service is provided through hotlines and QQ group. Professional lawyers of the federation have provided consultations and answered questions for more than 30 times.

To combat the epidemic, the Federation of Trade Unions of Qingdao High-tech Zone initiated fund-raising activities to support Hubei and had raised and donated a total of more than 2 million yuan worth of materials.
