Tourists showed vast enthusiasm for traveling around and spending the summer vacation in tourist attractions insouthwest China's Yunnan Province, since the province reopened to visitors across the country last Wednesday.

The scenic area of the renowned Yulong Snow Mountain has seen a daily number of tourists up to 12,000, while the Lijiang Ancient Town is preparing for a bounce in the visitor number during the summer season by organizing security work, implementing anti-epidemic measures, and calling on volunteers to enhance the capability of the scenic spot to serve visitors.

Travel agencies in China have been given permission to resume their services and offer trans-provincial group tours as well as flight bookings and hotel reservations, except for mid- and high-risk regions. These services had been suspended nationwide as most travel agencies closed for nearly six months due to the coronavirus outbreak.
