The 2017 South and Southeast Asia Commodity Expo and Investment Fair (SSACEIF) concluded in #Kunming on Sunday and attracted a total of 502.2 billion yuan ($73.7 billion) investment, while receiving 500,000 visitors.

During the week-long event, more than 6,000 guests from 86 countries and regions gathered in the spring city, exhibiting their products and carrying out talks on cooperation.

The signed contracts included 357 domestic investment projects with a total value of 488 billion yuan (71.6 billion dollars) and 36 foreign investment and trade deals valued 14.2 billion yuan (2.1 billion dollars) , said organizers.

Statistics from the provincial government reveal that more than 1,200 reporters from China and abroad attended the event.

As a brand-new exhibition of Yunnan, the SSACEIF is expected to serve as a platform for economic, technological and cultural exchanges between China and countries from South and Southeast Asia and beyond.
