The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Luoping was held on March 10. About 8,000 runners experienced the joy of running through an ocean of flourishing rapeseed flowers with music every step on the way.

Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series is one of the world’s largest running series, and the race in Luoping is its first race in China this year. It attracted about 8,000 runners from 35 countries and regions.

Unlike normal marathon tournaments, the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon features live band performances along the routes. Because Luoping is known for the splendid rapeseed flowers which bloom in spring, the route of Luoping marathon was specially designed so that runners could run through the field of rapeseed blossoms. 

Many runners said that they enjoyed the race as the wonderful combination of sea of flowers, music and marathon brought surprises.
