Exhibition on Napoleon Bonaparte comes to Yunnan

On March 12, the “Napoleon: The lanneret of the French” exhibition was opened at Yunnan Provincial Museum. In the exhibition hall decorated with red, white and blue, more than 150 pieces of exhibits are displayed, including oil paintings, sculptures, prints and other works of art, as well as items used by Napoleon Bonaparte and clothes and daily utensils of the Nepoleon’s era.


The exhibition showcases the ups and downs of Napoleon's dramatic life in four parts, namely the "Forming of Military Ideas", "Building of An Ideal Empire", "Demise of European Dreams" and "End of the Hero”. Waking into the pavilion, visitors will find the oil painting of Napoleon’s steed as well as battle costumes, ornaments, swords and other relics demonstrating the clothing style of Napoleon’s era.


Yunnan is the first stop of the exhibition in China and it will be exhibited until June 6.
