The China National Geography announced recently a list of places which won the title of “China’s Most Beautiful" at a public appraisal organized by the magazine, together with other 34 Chinese media. Among the winners, six are from Yunnan.

Located in northwest Yunnan’s Ninglang County, the Lugu Lake is honored as one of “China’s Most Beautiful Lakes”. Known as "Pearl of the Plateau", the lake is 2,690 meters above sea level and covers an area of about 50 square kilometers. The gorgeous landscape and the mysterious culture of Mosuo people dwelling around the lake always impress tourists.
