LASD Homicide assist Monrovia PD with Death Investigation, Monrovia

Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department Homicide Bureau detectives are continuing to assist the Monrovia Police Department in their investigation into the shooting of two male Hispanics.  The incident occurred Saturday, April 22, 2017, at 11:36 p.m., on the 100 block of West Cypress Avenue, Monrovia. 
 
Detectives have learned that Monrovia Police officers responded to a shots fired call.  Upon their arrival they located one male Hispanic adult and one male Hispanic juvenile, both victims had been shot at least one time in the torso.
 
The male adult victim was pronounced dead at the scene and the male juvenile victim was transported to a local hospital where he is listed in critical condition. 
 
The suspect is described as a male Hispanic in his 20’s, no further description. 
 
The investigation is ongoing and there is no further information available at this time.
