The 2017 China-Myanmar Cultural Tourism Road Show, also part of the Lancang-Mekong Cooperation serial activities, entered the Myanmar capital city of Naypyidaw and the country’s biggest city of Yangon on November 25-26.
Chinese tourism authorities and associations had extensive and in-depth exchanges with their Myanmar counterparts, discussing opportunities for tourism cooperation.

China-Myanmar tourism exchange and cooperation will lead to common development in catering, hotel business and others on both sides, said an official with the Myanmar Ministry of Hotels and Tourism, while conveying welcome to the arrival of the Chinese tourism delegation.

He added that improving transport facilities will inject new vigor to bilateral tourism cooperation.

During the exchange in Yangon, another Myanmar tourism official said China is the second largest tourist source for Myanmar tourism after Thailand.

Yangon is Myanmar's largest city and economic hub. Shwedagon Pagoda, Bogyoke Aung San Market and Inlay Lake are attractions to Chinese tourists in Yangon.

Nine Chinese tourism companies presented themselves at the exchanges, including Beijing Health Link and Yunnan Wind-Line Ride Club.
