The 2017 #Yunnan Vocational Competition for Tea Art Specialist (Kunming Regional Competition) was held in Yunnan Nationalities Grand View Park recently, attracting 37 candidates aging from 20 to 50.
Birthplace of Pu 'er Tea and Yunnan Black Tea, Yunnan is regarded as a cradle of tea trees in the world. The combination of tea planting and making tradition with local ethnic culture has nurtured rich and colorful tea culture In Yunnan.
With tea culture as one of its main themes, Yunnan Nationalities Grand View Park has launched tea art classes for teenagers and a
series of tea making activities, aiming to provide better experience of Yunnan tea culture to tourists both at home and abroad.

Chinese people are believed to have enjoyed tea drinking for more than 4,000 years. As a country with a very long history of drinking tea, China has its unique tea traditions. Tea art performance is one of them and is mainly about demonstrating respect and deepening people's understanding of profound Chinese tea culture. During the performance, tea art specialists often explain the knowledge of tea to audience while making different varieties of tea respectively. Also, they invite audience to taste tea, which allows audience to fully enjoy the charm of tea.
