Qingdao is building Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center

The China Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center is already under full construction. As scheduled it will be put into operation in 2018. As the convention and exhibition economic complex of the fifth generation in circum-Bohai region, the project will effectively offset the inadequacy of convention and exhibition facilities in Qingdao and play a promotive role in building Qingdao into a famous convention and exhibition city in Northeast Asia and an important high-end convention and exhibition destination.
Located to the south of Road Huoju, Qingdao New and High-tech Zone, the west of Road Gui Hua Xi No.6, the east of the extension of Road Qingwei and the north of Road Jingsan, the Hongdao International Convention and Exhibition Center will cover a total construction area of 488,000 square meters. It will have 17 floors over the ground and 3 floors underground and will be divided into the convention and exhibition center, hotel, offices and underground parking lot etc. The exhibition hall will cover an area of 145,000 square meters. There are over 1,000 rooms, the function and condition of which is equivalent to that of a hotel and over 2,500 parking lots.
