Qingdao released policy to boost healthcare industry development

The Qingdao municipality will establish municipal hygiene and health work leading team to boost the Healthy Qingdao construction, according to the Opinions about Accelerating Hygiene and Healthcare Industry Reform and Development released by Qingdao Municipal CPC Committee and Municipal Government recently, by 2030, Qingdao will basically set up the modernized hygiene and health management system to enable everyone to enjoy a healthy life, basic healthcare service and healthy environment. City citizens often participate in sports exercise, healthcare service quality, and health insurance level all greatly increased. The expected longevity, infant and baby and maternal mortality and other major health index all reached international advanced levels.

According to the Opinion, by 2020, Qingdao will establish and improve basic healthcare system and form pretty improved healthcare service system. Expected human life span exceed 81 years. Infant/baby and maternal mortality and infectious disease mortality controlled in the domestic low level. The major health indexes of human will reach the average level of developed countries. An international city hygiene and healthcare service system covers all life span with vivid Qingdao features and reasonable distribution will be formed.

The Opinion encourages green development and life to ensure clean air, clear water and green mountains. By 2020, 85% of the air quality in urban area shall be excellent or good, and the days with excellent/good air quality shall be longer than 310 days a year. 60% of water on city ground shall be good (III or above), with the water quality of key rivers monitored by Shandong provincial government shall reach water functional zone standard. 98% or above of urban wasted water and 70% of rural wasted water shall be treated distributed. The innocuous treatment rate of urban and rural living waste shall be 100%. The greening rate shall be 40% or above, and greening rate in building area shall be 40% or above. The park area per person shall be 11sqm, and 85% or above of roads shall be avenue. (Zhao Bo)
