Qingdao Haiwan Chemical entered world class with relocating

With relocation for environmental protection as the catalyzer, a series of chemical reactions happened to the Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co Ltd, which relocated to Dongjiakou from its former site in urban area of Qingdao: the tech level reached world class; the high-end equipment boosts smart manufacturing; the safety grid gets denser; and the green revolution better protects the environment. In 2017, the Qingdao Haiwan Chemical entered normal production from rebuilding after relocation. The main business revenue of 2017 reached CNY3.07 billion. The company has set the target of main business revenue to CNY7 billion in 2018.

The Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co Ltd, renamed from Haijing Chemical Co Ltd in June 2017, revamped after acquiring the Qingdao Soda New Materials Technologies Co Ltd in last September and formed 5-Integration development structure, which includes integration of planning and building, integration of safety and environmental protection, integration of utility project, integration of warehousing and logistics, integration of smart management.

In the plant area of Qingdao Haiwan Chemical, the upper stream and down stream companies that connected for raw materials sharing such as former Haijing Chemical, Dongyue Sodium Silicate and Qingdao Soda, gathered for concentrated development and resources sharing, including operation management, supporting service, production and office building, and got a great result in de-capacity, reducing cost and improving weak part. “Through the way of integrated development, we cut in half the number of employees, work load greatly reduced, but production capacity doubled. With such reduction and increase, production efficiency of the company grew 4 times. Meanwhile, all kinds of losses were greatly reduced, just the industry water use can be save over 1,000 tons per day, and over 360,000 tons per year,” Qingdao Haiwan Chemical Co Ltd production department director Yu Ying said.
