Airlift imported fruits directly reached
Qingdao port
As the 1,400kg fresh cherry originated from
New Zealand reached to Qingdao Airport recently, the designated port for
imported fruit of Qingdao Airport officially launched operation. The National
General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine issued
letter to approve Qingdao Airport port to conduct imported fruit business. It
means imported fruits can enter into China directly after quality-inspection in
Qingdao Airport, instead of transferring through other ports. It further
improves the function of the Qingdao Airport port and will greatly reduce
logistics and time cost for imported fruit.
“In the past, most of fruits ate by people
in Qingdao and neighboring areas are transferred from Guangzhou, Shanghai and
other places.”The Qingdao Airport Logistics Co Ltd deputy general manager He
Jun said, after the designated port for imported fruits of Qingdao Airport
opened, Qingdao people can enjoy more fresh imported fruits in reasonable
price. (Zhou Jianliang)
