CRRC Qingdao Sifang won returning customer in Argentina

The CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co Ltd and Argentina Ministry of Transport signed the contract of 200 inter-city trains and parts for Roca Line in Buenos Aires recently. The USD278 million worth contract is the 3rd inter-city train contract won by CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co Ltd in Argentina. The trains are planned to start delivery in mid 2019.

In 2013, to conduct modernization transformation to inter-city railway grid of Buenos Aires and replace old carriages used in Sarmiento, Mitre and Roca lines, the Argentina Ministry of Transport has bought 709 inter-city trains from CRRC Qingdao Sifang Co., Ltd. for 2 times, which is the largest inter-city bullet train export deal ever of China. All purchased trains have been put into use now, and 300 of them are used in Roca Line. The 200 inter-city bullet trains deal is an added-purchase project of Roca line, and also a part of comprehensive passenger transport project of Buenos Aires area. All long-timer served trains of Roca Line will be replaced after this added purchase. (Zhang Miaomiao)
