Multinationals summit to be held in east China

QINGDAO, Oct. 11 (Xinhua) -- The first Qingdao Multinationals Summit is slated to open in Qingdao, east China's Shandong Province, on Oct. 19, organizers said here Friday.

A total of 135 of the world's top 500 companies, of which 115 are from overseas, will attend the two-day event, with participants exceeding 500.

A slew of 38 activities including closed-door meetings, parallel panels and roadshows will be held, and a report on multinationals investment in China over the past 40 years will also be published.

The summit, hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Shandong provincial government, aims to build a platform that makes the voice of multinationals heard and help multinationals share experience and resources.
