QINGDAO, Jan. 7 (Xinhua) -- Star center Wang Zhelin finished with a double-double, 20 points and 11 rebounds, but his Fujian Sturgeon still lost to the Qingdao Eagles 116-101 in the 26th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) on Tuesday.

Wang Qingming hit all five of his three-point attempts in the first half, helping Qingdao establish a 63-57 lead.

Darius Adams led Qingdao to enlarge the gap to as many as 18 points in the third quarter. Fujian fought back hard with a barage of three-point attempts in the final quarter, but Qingdao didn't give them a chance to turn the tables.

"Our players didn't focus, especially in the third quarter. I hope we could do better in the next round against Sichuan," said Aleksandar Kesar, head coach of Fujian.

"Although Adams didn't get many points tonight, he led the team and we won the game. Domestic players also did a good job!" said Wu Qinglong, head coach of Qingdao.

Fujian's Eugene Jeter had a game-high 33 points, Chen Linjian scored 12 points and Dante Cunningham contributed 16 points and six rebounds.

Five players finished in the double digits in points for Qingdao. Dakari Johnson grabbed a team-high 24 points, captain Zhang Chengyu added 23 points and Adams collected 18 points and 11 rebounds.
