On January 5, Qi Haodong, vice principal of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, led the research and evaluation team to check the progress of key projects in Qingdao High-tech Zone. Wang Haodong, vice director of the Municipal Development Momentum Transformation Office, Li Hongyan, director of the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone, and Dong Dekun, vice director of the Management Committee of Qingdao High-tech Zone, accompanied the research.

The research and assessment team visited Qingdao Yebio Technology Industrial Park, Haier Biomedical Industrial Park, the first-phase project of Hexagon Intelligent Industrial Park, the second-phase project of Photoelectric Environment Protection Instrument Industrial Park and iStar Wafer Semiconductor Technology Industrial Park respectively and listened to the reports of Qingdao High-tech Zone on the investment and construction of key projects. Besides, the team had an in-depth exchange with project leaders on technological innovation, industrial radiation, market development and enterprise party building, seriously inquired about the enterprises’ situations in talent introduction, economic benefit, policy support, research and development input, industrial chain expansion and other aspects, and listened to the opinions and suggestions of the enterprises.

The team affirmed the progress of Qingdao High-tech Zone in key projects. The team said that Qingdao High-tech Zone attached great importance to the processes of key projects and cultivated a multitude of bellwether and hidden-champion enterprises with fast growth speed, large development potential, strong market competitiveness and high industry related degree. The research and assessment team pointed out that Qingdao High-tech Zone should constantly strengthen the tracking service for key projects, promote the sustainable development and growth of enterprises, plan the industrial layout in advance based on the industrial characteristics of key projects, optimize the industrial structure, and extend and improve the industrial chain. At the same time, the zone should encourage enterprises to increase efforts in innovation in technology, product and management to constantly improve the competitive advantages of enterprises and contribute to the high-quality development of Shandong’s economy.
