Establishing a six-point lead in the first three quarters, Qingdao launched a 7-2 run to extend its advantage. With another row of three-pointers and two dunks from Zhai Yi, the home team grew the lead to over 20 points.

"Our players carried out our strategy very well tonight. Especially in the fourth quarter, they had clear heads on defense and offense," said Wu Qinglong, head coach of Qingdao.

Darius Adams grabbed a game-high 31 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for Qingdao, Zhao Tailong pocketed 19 points, Zhai Yi collected 13 points and Dakari Johnson had 27 points and 17 rebounds.
