To further improve the safety protection level of motorcycle, electric bicycle riders and car divers, and enhance the safety awareness of traffic participants, the traffic police of Qingdao High-tech Zone conducted a "helmet and belt" safety-defending campaign in Hi-tech Citywear Company on June 9.

During the activity, traffic policemen made a detailed explanation of the dangerous consequences of riding electric bicycles without wearing helmets and driving cars without wearing seat belts highlighting some typical cases of road traffic accidents occurred in area under their administration.

"Thanks to the traffic policemen's introduction and explanation, we got a better understanding of the importance of wearing helmets and safety belts when riding or driving," said Sun Zhiqun, vice general manager of the production department of Hi-tech Citywear Company. "We will urge our employees to follow the rule to ensure their safety," he added.

Zhang Yingjie, chief of the first detachment of the zone's traffic police station, stressed that electronic cameras and road patrols will be used to capture violations, and those without helmets or safety belts will be punished.
