The Beijing Ducks and Bayi Rockets have arrived in Qingdao, one of the two cities that will host the remainder of Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league matches, and their COVID-19 nucleic acid test results were all negative, according the local organizing committee on Wednesday.

The local organizing committee has conducted the nucleic acid tests on 797 people so far, including players, coaches and staff, and all results were negative.

In addition to the Qingdao Eagles, the other six teams that will have matches in Qingdao will arrive here on Thursday.

The local organizing committee has asked medical staff among every team to test every member's body temperature twice a day, and report everyone's health condition to the committee.

All players, coaches and staff were asked to stay at official hotels, the court or training halls and travel by designated vehicles.

China's basketball league will resume on June 20 after nearly a five-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

To prevent the spread of the COVID-19, matches will be played behind closed doors in a championship format after the resumption.

Qingdao, in east China's Shandong province, and Dongguan, in the southern province of Guangdong, have been selected as the hosts for the remainder of the league.

Ten teams will have 39 matches in Qingdao from June 20 to July 4. Enditem
