2020 International Summit and Exhibition for Vocational Education opens in Qingdao

On the morning of November 18, the Education + 2020 International Summit and Exhibition for Vocational Education opened in Qingdao, east China’s Shandong province. Participating in the summit and exhibition are nearly 3000 representatives of education administrative departments, industry associations, research institutes, application-oriented colleges, vocational colleges and schools, and relevant public institutions and enterprises from dozens of provinces and municipalities in China and from Germany.

On the opening ceremony, the Qingdao Sino-German Vocational Education Base and the Sino-German Industry-Education Integration Alliance were launched. More than 20 entities, including China Vocational Education Association (CVEA), China National Machinery Industry International Co., Ltd. (SINOMACHINT), Lucas-Nülle Group, and Daimler AG, etc. signed school-enterprise cooperation projects on site.

During the summit, more than 20 high-level keynote speeches will be delivered by officials, academicians, enterprises and principals of vocational colleges and schools from China, Germany and other countries. 7 parallel forums, including Forum on the Reform and Innovative Development of Vocational Education for Machinery Industry.

The summit is jointly hosted by CVEA, SINOMACHINT and Messe Stuttgart, and specially supported by Shandong Provincial Education Department and Qingdao Municipal People’s Government. The summit aims to forge a high-quality platform for Sino-foreign communication and exchanges on vocational education. This year's exhibition has an exhibition area of 15,000 square meters and more than 200 exhibitors, of which international exhibitors account for about 16%.
