City Maintains in Fourth Place among China’s Aviation Hubs

In 2017, the Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport saw nearly 5.40 million exit and entry flyers, and 30.40 thousand inbound and outbound flights.
The airport continues to rank fourth among the aviation hubs in China, just following Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
Six international regular non-stop flights linking Chengdu and Los Angeles, Addis Ababa, Auckland, New York, Irkutsk and Chiang Rai were open in 2017. By far, the city has launched 104 international/regional flights, topping China's central and western regions.
According to statistics, the number of 24-hour and 72-hour visa-free transit passengers hit 28,800 last year. And 545,500 used the smart gate system on arrival, which reduced their customs clearance time to merely 10 seconds.
