On the day, CCEC, also held, together with the Chengdu Municipal People's Government, the lighting ceremony for the 2018 EU-China Tourism Year in the city.
During the event, the Chengdu Municipal Tourism Administration, China Tourism Academy, Europe-China "One Belt One Road" (OBOR) Culture & Tourism Development Committee, and EU Project Innovation Center (EUPIC) jointly signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement on furthering the Sino-EU collaboration and exchange in culture and tourism.
Besides, the consulates general of Germany, Poland, Czech Republic and France in Chengdu and those of Hungary and Italy in Chongqing showcased their home countries' unique cultures, tourist resources, business environment, as well as development in science and technology, etc.
Up to now, 151 companies and organizations from 39 countries and regions across the world have submitted applications to CCEC, which got operational on May 10, 2017, for office spaces in the center.
