City’s Foreign Trade Volume Soars by 30% Year on Year in First 5 Months

The Chengdu Customs reported June 11 that the city had realized a total import and export value of RMB179.61 billion in this year’s first five months, a 30.4% increase from the same period of the prior year.

According to statistics, the city's foreign trade volume accounted for 87.8% of Sichuan Province's total during the period, and that of the Chengdu Hi-tech Zone Comprehensive Bonded Zone hit RMB123.68 billion, up 29.3% year on year and contributing 17.6 per cent to the province's growth in the gross foreign trade volume so far this year.
