On June 5, China’s National Planning Office of Philosophy and Social Science announced the projects to be funded by the National Social Science Fund of China (NSSFC) this year. Sichuan University (SCU) outnumbered all of its counterparts with 68.

As the one and only state-level research project in China, those financially aided by NSSFC are currently the highest-level, most authoritative and competitive in the field of philosophy and social science in the country.
The Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, SCU and Renmin University of China are the top three research institutions in terms of the number of such projects approved this year.
