Construction on a comprehensive medical project funded by First Sponsor Group began in Wenjiang this year and will last until September of 2021. When completed, it will become a highpoint of Wenjiang's medical industry.

The project carries a price tag of over 3 billion yuan ($451.8 million) and is located at the intersection of Fenghuang North Avenue and Jiang'an Road, which is close to the center of Chengdu Medical City.

The project has an overall floorage of over 660,000 square meters, including four office buildings, one medical care center and two commercial buildings.

First Sponsor introduced the idea of applying a shared economy model to Wenjiang's medical industry and proposed the so-called Medical Mall, a one-stop medical center that provides health care services.

Patients can receive international medical treatments at the medical center with diverse technologies including long-distance diagnosis, portable medical equipment, surgical robots and an online hospital.

The center will cooperate through online mediums with elite medical institutions and experts from Europe and America and coordinate with nearby facilities such as hotels, hot springs, and residences to provide a comprehensive medical platform for Wenjiang.

Upon completion, the unit will strive to become an international medical academic, research and meeting service center in Chengdu and even the whole of western China.
