A park project for exporting flowers and trees in Wenjiang district, Chengdu, has completed its first-phase of construction, local media reported on July 9.

Situated at Hongzhuan Community in Wanhong township and near two expressways, the 40-hectare park (15.6 hectare for first phase) enjoys favorable logistics conditions and paves the way for Wenjiang to become a flower and tree export base in Sichuan province and China.

The park will include a handful of buildings and zones for production inspection, quarantine, storage, administration, trading, display and commerce, with most settlers being trading and logistics companies as well as agricultural product makers.

The whole project is expected to be completed by the end of this year. It will then become an ecological complex integrating functions of agricultural research and development, trading, exports and imports, sales, e-commerce as well as sightseeing.
