Chengdu Hi-tech Development Zone (CDHT)

The 2018 interim financial reports released recently by 34 listed companies which are headquartered in the Chengdu Hi-tech Development Zone (CDHT) show that more than half of them had accomplished an operation revenue of over RMB100 million each between January and June.

The companies are engaged in such industries involving new generation information technology, producer services, bio-medicine, energy saving and environmental protection, and high-end equipment manufacturing.

Eight of the companies which specialize in the new generation information technology, including the Dr. Peng Telecom Media Group Co., Ltd., Westone Information Industry Inc., Xunyou.com and Eoptolink Technology Inc., Ltd., realized a revenue of RMB100 million each. And Dr. Peng Group achieved RMB3.52 billion from its operations, outperforming all other local counterparts.

In the high-end equipment manufacturing, the Dongfang Electric Corporation made great strides with a revenue of RMB16.54 billion, up 7.57% year on year. Under the Belt and Road Initiative, it has signed contracts with its partners in Uzbekistan, Sri Lanka, Costa Rica and other countries for cooperative projects involving hydro power and diesel multiple units.

Growing steadily, both Aecc Aero Science and Technology Co., Ltd. and Sichuan Chengfei Integration Technology Co., Ltd. achieved a half-year income exceeding RMB800 million each.

In the bio-medicine industry, the Maccura Biotechnology Co., Ltd. achieved a revenue of RMB1.25 billion, a 47.82% increase over the same period of last year. While the operating income of the Chengdu Hongqi Chain Co., Ltd., a company in the producer services sector, reached RMB3.62 billion, a 5.34% rise from the same period of the prior year.
