Sichuan Airlines to Launch Chengdu-Rome Direct Service

Chengdu is about to have another direct air link to Europe tomorrow.

The Sichuan Airlines will open June 22 a regular non-stop flight between Chengdu and Rome, to increase the fomer's direct air links to Europe to 12. Currently, Chengdu tops all of its counterparts in central and western China in this regard.

To be operated by Airbus A330 airplanes, the three times weekly round-trip service will fly on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The outbound flights departing from Chengdu, numbered 3U607, leave at 02:00 and arrive at 07: 25, taking 11 hours and 25 minutes. While the inbound ones departing from Rome, numbered 3U608, leave at 13:25 and arrive at 05:50 next day, taking 10 hours and 30 minutes (all the time mentioned above is local time).

Up to now, Chengdu has launched 117 international (region) air links, and more will be open later this year, including the one to Helsinki in August and another one to Delhi in September.
