The Directors of CRRS USA, Mrs. Esther Woo and Mr. Peter Ng with councilors of S. California, Ms Michelle Yuen, Ms Kathleen Cheung and Executive Director Cindy Kwok delivered a check for US$70,830 to Consulate General of PRC in Los Angeles, requesting the Consul General Qiu Shao Fang to forward the amounts to Ministries of Foreign Affairs of PRC to distribute the amounts to Jinping County and Malipo County in Yunnan for the sponsorship of underprivileged students and teachers so that they can finish their studies to improve their standard of living.  Including the check for $73,000 we delivered to Consulate General of PRC in San Francisco in March, the total amount of education sponsorship we made this year is $143,830.


We were well received by Ambassador/Consul General Qiu. He appreciated the contribution of CRRS USA and donors with warm greetings.

Ambassador Qiu further said that due to imbalanced developments of different areas, works of poverty alleviation in China are heavy. He hopes we will work together to fight against poverty.
