ALL CHURCH

Happy Father’s Day! Thank and honor all the fathers and brothers for their contribution to their families.  Let us lift up our brothers in prayer that they may abide in the Father’s love and be empowered as the spiritual leader of their families.

When Will We Reopen Our In-Person Sunday Services? On May 26, the County of Los Angeles Health Officer issued a Revised Order, under which, attending in-person faith-based services is now permitted but with strict restrictions. Our Elder Board has decided, for many important reasons, that our church, including HOA, will be patient and wait for better conditions before resuming our in-person Sunday services. Details please read our Senior Pastor’s letter to our Church Family on May 28, which is on our church’s website.

Church Response to COVID-19 Pandemic: The church will implement the following measures effective immediately (subject to change depending on future notice): 1.Sunday Service: Online; 2. Sunday School/Equipping Classes, Small Group Gatherings, Prayer Meetings: Online ;  3. Youth and Children Ministries: Online; 4. Church Staff: Work Remotely; 5  Sunday Bulletin & Insert:  Available on the church's or Congregation’s website;  6.Giving: You can give online or through mail with checks marked “Payable to FECSGV” and specify on the memo the type of donation, then mail it to the church; 7 Church campus: The church door is temporary closed due to the pandemic; 8.Walk with God: If you or your family are facing difficulties because of the COVID-19 pandemic, please contact small group leaders or congregational pastors.

Food Drive for the Elderly: If you want to donate or help pack food for the seniors, please contact Pauline Kao at pauline@rkapparel.com. As of 6/20, we have already distributed 330 bags of canned food! We greatly appreciate your generous donations and help! The last food drive will occur on 6/27@8:30-11:15 a.m. at church.

FECA Theme for 2020: “Church Renewal: Growing Young”

Happy Father’s Day!

We wish all fathers a happy and joyful Father’s Day.  We also thank the Lord for their hard work and pray that He would continue to use their dedication to touch their children’s live.

1.       Social Concern and Global Missions

The world continues to face the challenges brought by COVID-19.  Northern Iraq, a place in which we provide ongoing ministries, is particularly affected by the pandemic. Our FECA field workers are supplementing relief efforts to the area they are residing in. There is an overwhelming need for surgical and reusable cloth masks to be distributed to the refugees. Currently, there is an estimation of over one million registered internally displaced people (IDP) and refugees in the Northern Iraq camps. Fundraising goal:  $25,000, from 6/21/2020 to 7/12/2020.

To support - Please mail check to FECA, memo line: “COVID-19 relief – N. Iraq” (Mailing address: 2617 West Beverly Blvd., Montebello, CA 90640) or visit https://www.feca.org/donation online giving – COVID-19 relief – N. Iraq.

2.       Application for Financial Aid to Seminarians (for 2020-2021 school year)

This Financial Aid to Seminarians program was established to provide financial assistance to FECA church members, on the basis of real financial need, as they receive basic theological training to become Christian ministers or missionaries. The Financial Aid to Seminarians Policy and Procedure, and application form may be downloaded from FECA website (www.feca.org, click "Document Download" at the upper right corner for a list of documents available for download). All applicants should read through the Policy and Procedure before filling out the application form. Application deadlines: Fall admission and returning seminarians: 7/17/2020; Winter/Spring admission: 9/15/2020.

3.       2020 World Vision Global 6K for Water

Praise the Lord! The 2020 World Vision Global 6K for Water fundraising for clean water ended 5/16. Due to concerns for the COVID-19 pandemic, participants fulfilled the run/walk challenge right from their own home or community.  Our team, FECA 6K for Water, had 37 members joined the activity, received 135 donations totaling $8,081.00, ranking 26th among 1109 teams participated.  Please continue to support efforts to improve access to clean water.
