YOUTH

Sunday Service: 

We will have a combined communion service with Connections at 9:45 am in the Youth Center TODAY! Pastor Ben will continue the sermon series ‘ Slaying the giants in your life’ based on Dr. David Jeremiah’s book. The second giant to tackle is doubt! Next Sunday, 04.02, is Palm Sunday and Pastor Ben will discuss the third giant which is fear. Let’s learn how to stand tall and face the giants in your life with God’s power!

Sunday School:  

Sunday school classes start at 11:30 am TODAY.  All Junior high students will meet at the youth center with Pastor Ben. Freshman and sophomore will meet at E10 with aunties Virg and Mel.  Junior and senior will meet in the upper room with Dr. Glenn.

Friday Night Fellowship:

We will continue our small groups on the book of James on Friday, 03.24 and 31 @8:00 pm at the youth center.  Uncle Roland will lead Junior high boys. Aunties Beatriz and Cathy will lead  Junior high girls. Emily & Estrella will lead Freshman groups. Pastor Ben will lead sophomore, junior, and senior groups. 

Good Friday service:

A special combined communion service will be held on Friday, 04.07 at 8:00 pm in the Youth Center to remember the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. Join us!

Summer Retreat Registration:

Easter Carnival:

CM will have a special Easter program at Janson’s school on Sunday, 04.09 from 11:30 am - 12:30 pm. 15-20 youth members are needed to run different activities stations.  Lunch will be served after the activities.  Sign up with pastor Ben TODAY!

Reopening - Arrangements in Phase Eight (Apr.-Jun. 2023) for In-Person Sunday Services and other activities: Our church is open for IN-PERSON SUNDAY SERVICES and the services are live streamed.  For other activities, similar to Phase Seven (Jan. - Mar. 2023), Sunday School, Equipping classes, Small Group, Fellowship and Prayer Meetings will be either in-person or held online according to each congregation’s need.  Special events in church campus are to be approved by Congregational Pastors and Admin. office.. 5/19-21/2023 SoCal Prayer Conference: Speaker: Rev. Donald Young. Location: EFCLA. The Southern California Prayer Conference and Revival Prayer Groups (RPG) are dedicated to revival prayer.  Through small groups, we will ignite the heart of the church, walk in Godly unity and establish an army of prayer warriors.  Organizer: GoodTVUSA, Co-Organizer: FECSGV, EFCLA, DEC, BLCCLA; Joint Organizers: Logos Evangelical Seminary and other 6 organizations and 2 churches. LENT 2023 – 40 Days of Fasting and Prayer: You are encouraged to select a time slot on each day, or any day, during LENT 2023 (Ash Wednesday 2/22-Easter Sunday 4/9) to fast and pray. Pray for personal spiritual renewal, pray for your family, relatives, friends who have not yet received Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, pray for the COVID-19 pandemic and for world peace.  The Prayer Guide (see the attached) has been uploaded to our church’s website.

Personnel Announcement: Minister Kuo Fen Cho, after serving 7 years in our church, decided to resign from the position of Children Ministry Director of our HOA campus effective April 30, 2023.  Her last working date at our church is April 5, 2023. We appreciate Kuo Fen’s faithful service in our church.  May the Lord remember what she has done for the Lord and for God's family all these years and continue to lead and bless her in her future path to serve the Lord.

Blood Drive: Praise the Lord for the American Red Cross collected 31 bags of blood on 3/19.  Thanks to all of you who came to support and those of you who made sacrifices to save lives.
